Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 Phone (865) 475-3892 Fax (865) 475-9916 OBITUARY: RAYMOND KENNETH BEEMAN, age 81, of Jefferson City, TN and formerly of Welch and Princeton, West Virginia, passed away suddenly at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America District # 29 and a retired coal miner from Cannelton Coal Company with 37 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman with a great love of hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband and father. Preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva Flanagan Beeman and two infant children, Marcella and Kenneth Beeman; parents, James and Minnie Plemmons Beeman; sisters, Geneva Greene and Hazel Bevil; brothers, Clarence, Paul, Julian, Oscar, Ottie and Charles Beeman. Survived by loving wife of 14 years, Elaine Chipman Beeman; children, Diana (Ben) Branson of Welcome, NC, Timothy (Sandra) Beeman of Winston-Salem, NC; Janey (Jim) Patton of Princeton, WV, Libby Shaffer of Princeton, WV, Rebecca Shumaker of Princeton, WV; Sherry (Rick) Mann of Princeton, WV, and Stephanie Beeman of Jefferson City, TN; step-sons, James (Catherine) Chipman of Rutledge, TN and Daniel Chipman of Strawberry Plains, TN ; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 Monday, October 8, 2007 from Memorial Funeral Directory's Chapel in Princeton, WV with Dr. John King officiating. Interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, October 6, 2007 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, TN from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Sunday evening, October 7, 2007 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton, WV. Pallbearers will be Ben Branson, Jr., Tim Beeman II, Matthew Patton, Scott Shaffer, Brandon Shumaker, Marvin Carr and Nicholas Chipman. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 4450 Walker Boulevard, Suite 2, Knoxville, TN 37917-1523.
