Rayford E. Daniel

Daniel, Rayford E. ? age 87, of Rutledge, died peacefully at 4:25 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home. Mr. Daniel was a lifelong member of Oakland Baptist Church and was a retired pressman from Magnavox after 35 years of employment. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mayme Hampton Daniel; infant son, Jerry Allen Daniel; parents, Chris and Elsie Hodge Daniel; brothers, J.L., Gene, Marcus and Charles (Bud) Daniel; sister, Mary Elizabeth Daniel. He is survived by his son, Carson Daniel of Rutledge; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis (Butch) and Bobbie Daniel of Rutledge; grandson and wife, Brian and Debby Daniel of Strawberry Plains; step great-grandchildren, Tyler Wilson and Kristin Wilson of Strawberry Plains; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Charles Mills of Rutledge, Nancy and Eddie Frankenburg of Bean Station and Dorothy Daniel of Rutledge; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Betty Daniel of Jefferson City; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with Reverend Stacey Lawson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:00 noon Tuesday at Farrar Funeral Home to travel in procession to Sunrise Cemetery in Rutledge for a 1:00 p.m. interment service.
