He was a decorated veteran of World War II and a retired rural mail carrier with the Dandridge Post Office. Member of the V. F. W. Post # 3380. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Juanita "Dot" Ketner. Survived by daughters, Sue Drinnon (Dale), Teresa Derrick (Dale) and Denise Creekmore (Donnie); grandchildren, Scott Drinnon (Traci), Shanda Lee (Thomas), Annie Watkins (Chip), and Nicholas Creekmore; great grandchildren, Mason Godfrey, Zachary Lee, Reece and Roger Watkins; special friend of family, Mary Lou Eslinger. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Military graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Mel Hawkins and the United Veterans Honor Guard officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to V.F.W. Relief Fund, 2134 Teardrop Circle, Dandridge, TN. 37725.
