Ray Allen Irwin

RAY ALLEN IRWIN, age 62, of Kodak, TN died suddenly Thursday, May 19, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in an airplane accident. Ray was veteran of the U.S. Navy and the Vietnam conflict and worked as an x-ray technician for the Dr. Kenneth Justice Medical Practice. Ray enjoyed flying and being with his friends and family. He never met a stranger and was always willing to give a helping hand to one in need. Preceded in death by his father, John Irwin and is survived by his spouse, Charles Slemp; son, Freddie Stokes; mother, Christine Irwin; sister, Dorothy Irwin; nephews, Ron, Gene and Mike Barringer; great-nephew, Ryan Tisdale. Funeral services, Thursday, 11:00am at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. Interment graveside to follow at 2:30pm at Sherwood Memorial Park, Alcoa, TN.
