RAY H. POE, age 79, of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday afternoon, October 15, 2007 at his home. He was born January 19, 1928, the son of the late Luther and Addie Miller Poe. He was a retired employee of Bush Bros. & Co. after 47 years of service and was a veteran of the U. S. Army and World War II, and was a member of the V.F. W. Post # 3380. Preceded in death by sister, Eva Mae Poe Fine; brothers, Winfred Wayne Poe and John Luther Poe. He is survived by wife, Jo Carolyn Woods Poe; sons, Randy (Cindy) Poe and Mike Poe; granddaughters, Denise Poe and Jennifer Poe; sister, Bonnie Poe Thomas; brother, Paul Poe. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 246, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 from the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Dr. Earl McCosh and Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment graveside services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon and evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
