Randall Purkey

Randall Purkey, age 54 of Talbott, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of Friendsview Baptist Church. He was retired owner/operator of RP Trucking. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert, Sr. and Ruby Jean Purkey, infant brother, and father-in-law, Billy Joe Bowman. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sandy Purkey, child, Derek Todd Bowman (Megan), grandson, Zachary Bowman, sister, Margaret (Tex) Cooper, brother, Mickey (Angie) Purkey, sister-in-law, Kathy Bowman, mother-in-law, Penny Long, nephew, Bryan Cooper, nieces, Shelby (Chad) Bailey, Kerrie Farrow, and Jerrie Sinnock, several great nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and special cousin Don Owens who he loved like a brother. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Heatherly, Rev. Lee Wayne Grubb, and Rev. Jeff Broyles officiating. Graveside interment service will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home.
