Ralph Smith

RALPH H. SMITH, age 91, of Strawberry Plains, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Saturday morning, October 26, 2002 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City following a brief illness. He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Jefferson County Coon Club. He was a prominent life-long dairy farmer in Jefferson County and was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Lucille Smith; his parents, Charles and Linnie Belle Smith; his sisters, Ruby Smith Witt and Pauline Smith Cole; and a brother, Ed Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Beverly Smith of Jefferson City; grandchildren and spouses, Jeffrey and Karen Smith of New Market, Susan and Anthony Basham of Chattanooga, and Jason Smith of Jefferson City; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, October 28, 2002, from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Jefferson City with Reverend Dewayne Whittington and Reverend Paul Moore. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, October 28, 2002 at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
