Ralph Howard Roberts

RALPH HOWARD ROBERTS, TNANG SSGT (Ret), age 61, of White Pine, TN was born on December 6, 1949 and passed on to his heavenly home on January 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Thorn Hill and was employed by Clayton Homes in White Pine. Ralph was proud to have served our country and was retired from the TN Army National Guard. He will receive full military honors at the graveside interment. He is preceded in death by his father, Junior Roberts. Survivors include his wife, Mary Roberts and very special daughter, Rachael Ann Collins; children, Randy and Melissa Roberts of Middlesboro, KY, Becky Poisal of Morristown, Amanda and Doug Garland of Sneedville, Casey and Brandi Collins of Strawberry Plains, Jamie Collins and Travis Sharp of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Millie (Cupcake) Roberts, Samuel (Little Man) Poisal, Madison (Pumkin) Garland and Ryan (Little Dude) Collins; mother, Jean Roberts; brothers and sin-law, Charles and Nadine Roberts, Bobby and Donna Roberts, all of Tazewell, sister and brother-in-law: Ruby and John Moore of Knoxville; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 5-7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Arnold Dalton, Rev. Bill Dalton and Rev. Harold Barnard officiating. Special music will be given by the Heirs of the Promise and the Dalton Quartet. A military honors graveside will follow in Dandridge Memorial Gardens with the Tennessee Army National Guard presiding. Pallbearers will be nephews, Allen, Ricky, Jamie, Chris and Shawn Roberts, Michael, Brian, Barry and Bret Moore; honorary Pallbearers, Thomas Bailey, Robert Cody and Junior Murray.
