Rachel Shauntella Thomas

RACHEL SHAUNTELLA THOMAS, age 37, of Morrow, GA, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Wendell Wilkie Thomas and Rosa Belle Evans Thomas. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and attended the Seed Faith Ministries. Rachel was a graduate of the Norfolk State University where she received a degree in psychology and was active in student government activities and peer counseling. She enjoyed life to the fullest and always had a joyful smile to share with everyone she met. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Iva Thomas; niece, Kyra Goode; uncles, Ullyus Woods, Marshall (Florence) Evans; aunts, Bessie Thomas, Sarah (Melvin)Woods, Lelia (Acel) Osborne; several aunts, uncles and cousins; devoted cousin, Emily Greenlee. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Greenlee and Rev. James Moore officiating. Interment to folow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
