TURNER, age 76, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on Saturday morning, August 28, 2004 at his home. Dr. Turner was a retired English professor from Carson-Newman College and had pastored many churches in the area. He was presently pastor of Hebron Presbyterian Church in Dandridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Edward and Edna Lane Turner. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Turner; daughter, Ellen Turner Gutièrrez; grandsons, Roberto David Gutièrrez and Jason Turner Gregory; granddaughter, Viviana Victoria Gutièrrez; and sister, Juanita Turner Bond. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, August 31, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of Jefferson City with Dr. Gene Wilder officiating.
