HOLDWAY, age 88, of White Pine, TN passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008. He was born in Cocke County, TN, the son of the late James H. and Lillie Sawyer Holdway. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of White Pine and retired from American Enka after 33 years service. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp and World War II. Preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hilda Croxdale Holdway; sons, Danny and wife, Rhonda Holdway, and Barry Holdway; granddaughter, Molly Holdway; sister-in-law, Ilene Holdway; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the White Pine First United Methodist Church with Reverend Mark McFadden and Reverend Ronnie Mutter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hamblen Memory Gardens in Morristown.
