Phyllis R. Meadows

Phyllis R. Meadows age 83 of Dandridge, TN passed away at her home on Saturday morning, October 19, 2024 following an extended illness. Following high school, she attended Knoxville School of Beauty and received her license as a beautician in which she made this her career. She and her dear friend, Dorothy Cate co-owned and operated the Hair Villa for many years before their retirement. Many Piedmont Baptist Church friends and former school classmates have been good to visit and help with her care which was much appreciated and a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for all that they have done for Phyllis over the past year. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Balky and Ruth Patterson and is survived by her husband of 65 years, John W. Meadows; daughter, Pam Meadows; son-in-law, Mike Asbury and grandson, Alex Asbury; brothers, Virgil (Mabel Jo) Patterson and Jimmy Dale (Joy) Patterson. No formal services will be held as the family plans for a private service. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial gifts be made to your favorite charity. Friends are welcome to visit and call on the family at their home.
