JOHNSON, age 79, of Jefferson City, TN and formerly of Pikeville, KY, died Monday, February 12, 2007 at the home of her son in Jefferson City, TN. She was born in Pike County, KY on January 22, 1928, the daughter of the late James W. and Cora Maynard Coleman. She was a homemaker and a current member of First Baptist Church of Morristown, TN and a former member of First Baptist Church of Pikeville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Johnson; step-son, Robert D. Johnson; two brothers, James W. Coleman and Kenneth R. Coleman; and one sister, Elmo Whitt. She is survived by two sons, John B. (Susan) Johnson of Jefferson City, TN, and Gene P. Ratliff of Bean Station, TN; step-son, William M. Johnson of Greenup, KY; and two grandchildren, Gina D. (Billy) Thompson of Gastonia, NC, and Barrett Race Ratliff of Goshen, VA. Special friends are Glenda R. Johnson, Selma Collins, June McDonald and Elana Powers. Also, special appreciation to the staff of Adventa Hospice and to Dr. Emmett Manley. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 16, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, Pikeville, KY, with Pastor Paul Badgett officiating. The burial will immediately follow the service in Johnson Memorial Park. Visitation is Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the J. W. Call Chapel in Pikeville, KY.
