Philip Gordon Merriam

Philip Gordon Merriam, age 98 of Jefferson City, TN passed away on August 13, 2023.  Philip was active in the Lutheran Church for many years and his faith sustained him throughout his life.  Philip is survived by his daughter, Donna Kay and husband, Bill, daughter-in-law, Laura Merriam, grandchildren, David Tuell and his wife, Shannon, Melissa Blankenship and her husband, Aaron, and Michael Merriam.  He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Caleb, Annabel, Hailey, and Jonathan.  He is preceded in death by his wife of over 70 years, Doris Merriam and his son, David Michael Merriam.  Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Friends of the Jefferson City Library, 108 City Center Drive, Jefferson City, TN  37760.
