She was a retired school teacher from the Knox County School System. Preceded in death by husband, Fred Altom; parents, Dale and Ida Henry; brother, Jack Henry; sister, Myrtle Rankin. She is survived by daughter, Dale Payne; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Faye Altom; grandchildren, Craig Payne, Chad Payne, Tammy Nichols and Kent Altom; great-grandchildren, Ashley Payne, Stone Payne; Lacey, Darby and Chesnie Nichols; Kayli and Kash Altom; sister and brother-in-law, Gypsy and Bill Fox; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Reverend George Miller officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Magna View Baptist Church, P. O.
