PAUL RAY SEAL, age 74, of Knoxville, TN passed away on January 15, 2021. He was born in Hancock County in 1946, and was raised in Washburn where his family moved to. In 1966 he joined the U. S. Navy and served four years. While in the Navy, he served aboard the SS-337 USS Carbonero submarine. He then attended college to become a superintendent electrician. In 1978 he went to work for Fluor Corporation and worked in Saudi Arabia over 25 years. In his 35 plus year career, he worked in various countries all over the world until he retired in 2016. He loved his family and his friends, both here and worldwide. His favorite hobby was running bird dogs and spending time with his family and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the family farm where he grew up. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul Mack and Cora Jarvis Seal; and brother, Harold D. Seal. He is survived by his best friend and wife of over 20 years, Wati Seal; daughter, Stacey Farrar (Britt); son, Paul Ray (P.R.) Seal; grandchildren, Ashley, Abby and Gage; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Kaidence and Kambri; brother, Larry Seal (Patricia); sister-in-law, Connie Ayers; and several nieces and nephews. At his request, no service will be held.
