Paul Larsen

Paul A. Larsen, 67, of Talbott, formerly of Sanibel and Fort Myers, Florida and Round Lake, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 after a long battle with lung disease. Paul was born in Melrose Park, Illinois to Charles and Doris Larsen on Feb. 12, 1948. He went to Proviso West High School in Melrose Park, was a graduate of Southern Illinois University and a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Paul's cherished spending time with his family and his dog Buddy. He loved to take long drives and explore new places. He enjoyed all water sports including boating, tubing, fishing and scuba diving. He had a love of animals and gardening. He was an avid history buff especially Abraham Lincoln. With a deep love for music, he had the ability to play almost any instrument with an emphasis on classical guitar. He favored classic, bluegrass, rock and roll and 60s songs. He enjoyed all sports especially the SIU Saluki's. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Doris Larsen; brother, Douglas Larsen; daughter-in-law, Jodi Larsen (David). Paul is survived by his wife, Nelia Adeser; sons, David (Lois) Larsen and Christopher Larsen (Kane Crespo); daughters, Erika (Russell) Ray, Amy (Michael) Hornek and Melanie Larsen (Jerry Jones); granddaughters, Madison, Sydney and Caroline Ray; Anna and Lilla Hornek; lifelong friends and family, Sandra Larsen, William, Richard, John and Robert Hendron. A memorial service will be held at Farrar Funeral Home, 162 E. Meeting St., Dandridge, TN 37725 on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge.
