He was a veteran of World War II, and retired from Tarr Chevrolet after 35 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Winter Gass; parents, Ernest L. and Callie Snow Gass; brother, Conard Gass. He is survived by one son, Darial Gass of Houston, TX and one grandson, Eric; sisters, Peggy Denton of Meridian, MS, Maxine Minter of Brookhaven, MS, and Kathryn Bible of Morristown, TN; brothers, Bob and Kenneth Gass of Morristown, Charlie and Jim Gass of Jefferson City; and special friend, Jenny Coppinger of Rockwood, TN; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Ginger Howe officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Thursday. February 3, 2005 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. interment service. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
