PAUL SELIM BURROWS, age 61, of New Market, TN passed away on June 13, 2009 at his home after a long period of declining health. Paul was born on February 9, 1948 in Dover, NH to Walter Burrows and Marie (Moreau) Burrows. Paul graduated from Dover High School in 1966 and soon after joined the United States Marine Corps. Paul proudly served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was a decorated veteran. Upon his return, Paul continued his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology and graduated from Keene State College. During his career Paul was a popular vocational education teacher at Oxbow Vocational Center, Winchendon High School, Monadnock Regional High School, and Nashua High School and Middle School. He also spent time working in the private sector in Keene, NH. When he was able, Paul was an avid fisherman, and found great peace on the water in his boat. He also enjoyed skiing, hiking, gardening and long camping trips with his family, as well as sharing his wry sense of humor at nearly every opportunity. But Paul found his true passion in the kitchen, and delighted in preparing lavish meals for his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Burrows; ex-wife, Cheryl Burrows; sister, Robin Arkwell and her husband, Charles Arkwell; brother, Richard Burrows and his wife, Lorraine Burrows; as well as several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in his honor.
