PAUL D. (BULLDOZER MAN) STOKELY, age 71, of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007. He was born June 10, 1936 in Del Rio, TN, the son of the late James and Dora Stokely. He was a fun loving man who enjoyed being around people sharing his wit and humor. Paul enjoyed farming and was retired as owner/operator of Stokely Construction Co. He was a member of the Magna View Baptist Church. Preceded in death by daughter, Patricia Ann Gallihugh and several brothers and sisters of Del Rio. Survived by his wife and best friend of 46 years, Doris Kidwell Stokely; daughters and sons-in-law, Deana and Chuck Henderson of Dandridge, Barbara and Dale Hammes of Leesburg, VA, Connie Carlton and friend, Craig Garcia of Alaska; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren who will all miss those little jokes he shared with them; sisters, Kate Wilburn and Hester Woody; brother, Jack Stokely, all of Del Rio; brother-in-law, Raymond L. (Buddy) and wife, Shelia Kidwell; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann and husband, Bob Diehr; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. George Miller officiting. Interment graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
