Patricia C. Welch, age 81 of Dandridge, formerly of Ashville, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 following a brief illness. She was a deputy sheriff for Buncombe County and Henderson Co Sheriff Departments. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Jeanette Captain, son, Ronald Welch, brother, Ronald and Betty Captain. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Lewis Sprouse; sons, Richard Chris Welch and Kelly Brian Welch; brother, Richard Captain; sister, Mary Ann McAuley and sister-in-law, Betty Captain Lewman.

The family plans on having a Memorial Service at a later date.
