Patricia (Patt) Scott

DR. PATRICIA (PATT) SCOTT, age 88, of Jefferson City, TN entered heaven on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Patt was born in Orange, CA and lived mostly in California and Wyoming until the age of 67, at which time she moved to Morristown, TN. Patt held MA and PhD degrees in education and she spent most of her professional life teaching and loving young children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Walter W. (Bill) Scott, whom she married in 1947. Bill and Patt served the Lord faithfully throughout their marriage, pastoring many churches in California, Wyoming and Tennessee. After Bill went to be with the Lord, Patt served on several mission fields, including her heart’s passion: China. She is also preceded in death by her son, Daniel S. Scott CWO-4, who was killed in 1991 while on active duty in Honduras. Patt is survived by her remaining children: Dr. David Scott of Spokane, WA, Rebekah Tidwell of Naples, FL, Dr. Timothy Scott of San Diego, CA, Phil Scott of Seattle, WA, Mikki Brooks of Jefferson City, TN; 23 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. A viewing and fellowship will be held at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, TN on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, followed by a Home-Going Celebration at 7:00 pm with Dr. Timothy Scott officiating. Burial will be at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN at 11:30 am on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Manley Baptist Church or Faith Baptist Church missions programs.
