PARTIE GUNTER DOCKERY, age 89 of Dandridge, died at sunrise on Easter morning, March 27, 2005 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for several years. She had lived in Chestnut Hill Community for over 75 years, where she and her husband, Dewey, had raised their family and was a member of the Big Springs Baptist Church. Daughter of the late James M. and Nancy McMahan Gunter, she was preceded in death by husband, Walter Dewey Dockery; daughter, Helen Miller; and eight brothers and one sister. Survived by son, Harold Dockery of Dandridge; grandson, Sandy Miller and wife, Kathy, granddaughter, Kim Bennett and husband, John; great grandchildren, John and Stefanie Bennett. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2005 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Jerry Colbert officiating. Interment graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2006 at Resthaven memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
