Parlee "Kate" Sikes

PARLEE "KATE" SIKES, age 98, of New Market, TN passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. Kate was the oldest living member of the Dumplin Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sikes, Sr.; son, James (Jim) Sikes; grandsons, Rick Sikes and Tim Sikes. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Thelma and Bob Jones; son and daughter-in-law, Roy, Jr. and Beulah Sikes; daughter-in-law, Alice Sikes; grandchildren, Pam (R.C.) Woods, Debbie "Tedda" (Jim) DeBerry, and Randy (Regina) Sikes; great-grandchildren, Chris (Jyn) Woods, Brian (Destiny) Woods, Jonathan DeBerry, Joey Sikes, Tiffany Sikes, Rickey Sikes, Jr., Jake Sikes; great-great-grandchildren, Cole Woods, Claire Woods, Jackson Woods, Dylan Sikes, Dylan and Tyler Wilson. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Jefferson County Nursing Home for their love and care. Funeral service will be he held Friday, March 19, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel. Graveside interment service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Piedmont Cemetery.
