Ovelia Johnson Henry

OVELIA JOHNSON HENRY, of Cincinnati, OH departed this life on Monday morning, May 30, 2011 following a lengthy illness. She was born in New Market, TN to the late Sam and Nora Johnson on September 19, 1932. She graduated from Nelson Merry High School. Ovelia was preceded in death by husband, John Edward Henry; sisters, Carrie Carter and Gladys Boswell; brother, Sam W. Johnson; and graddaughter, Mattie Henry. She leaves cherished memories to devoted son, Samuel Franklin Henry, Sr.; grandchildren, Michael (Robbyn) Henry of Virginia Beach, VA, Olivia Reshell Henry of Cincinnati, OH, Samuel Franklin, Jr., of Morristown, TN, Rashad, Jacoby and Marcus Singleton, Shane and Chivas Robinson, all of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Derrick Henry of Virginia Beach, VA, Pedro and Brittany Henry of Gulfport, MS. Chris Henry of Morristown, TN, Robin Henry and Carletha Jones of Cincinnati, OH, Brooklyn and Trenton Henry of Morristown, TN; seven great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memories her devoted twin sister, Juanita Hodge and sister-in-law, Helen Johnson, all of Jefferson City. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and friends. Graveside interment service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at Westview Cemetery in Jefferson City with Rev. H. R. Mills, Jr. officiating.
