Oretta Margaret Stamey

MARGARET WILLIAMS STAMEY, age 87 of Dandridge, TN passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 following an extended illness.  She was born, February 1, 1936 in Charleston, West Virginia and was raised in Rocky Flats, TN and was a graduate of Pittman Center High School.  Following graduation she attended and graduated from the  Cincinnati School of Cosmetology and was a  Beautician for several years.  Following her husband’s retirement they moved to Dandridge, TN where they were members of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Williams and Margaret Sarah Spencer Williams and is survived by her husband of 70 years, Leonard Stamey; son, Mark (Andrea) Stamey; daughter, Rita Stamey; sister, Cornella Vaughan; grandchildren Amanda (Alex) Svetich, Cassie (Sean) Grimes and Samantha Stamey; great grandchildren, Tristan O’Neal, Hannah Hensley, Bradley Svetich and Elizabeth Svetich; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 6:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm prior to the funeral service.  Private interment services will be held at Middle Creek Cemetery in Sevierville, TN.  ARRANGEMENTS BY FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE, TN
