Brackett age 89 of Jefferson City passed away at 2:24 a.m July 23, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brackett, children R.B. McCart, Betty Smith, and James McCart, parents George and Artie Messer. Survived by daughters; Dorothy Vanover, Patricia Moore, and Tommy Cowan; son and daughter in law Kenneth & Marilyn Brackett, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m July 26, 2004 at Greenwood Cemetery for and 11:00 a.m graveside funeral service with Reverend Paul Lester officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday evening July 25, 2004 from 6:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m at the funeral home.
