Olie Mae Hickman Chesney

Ollie Mae Hickman Chesney, age 71, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away on Monday, March 3, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center following a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Rev. A. E. "Gene" Chesney. preceded in death by her father and mother, Lonas and Nina Hickman. Ollie Mae was a devoted member of the Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church and was active in her church and community events. She was an avid gardner who loved to work in her flowers and everyone who passed her home enjoyed the beauty and colorful gardens of hers and God's handy work. He survivors include special cousins, Tillie Sharp and Bonnie Ingram; a special aunt, Bertie Ketner and aunts, Lorene Hickman and Anna Lee Snyder; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many other cousins. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge with Rev. Ronnie White, Rev. Dean Smith and Rev. Ron Jones officiating. Interment graveside services will be be Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Eastview Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends immediately following the services.
