Novy Thomas Crawford

NOVY THOMAS CRAWFORD, age 77, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, March 6, 2011 at his home after a lingering illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Crawford and Icely Holland Crawford Mock, and his older brother, Bill Crawford, all of English, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; son, Chester Crawford of Whiteville, NC; sister, Lucille Shields of English, Indiana; two devoted stepsons, Jesse Merritt and wife, Stacy of New Market, TN, and Chris Merritt and wife, Sharon of Knoxville, TN; three granddaughters in Hawaii; step-grandsons, Darryl Ingle and Jaime Ingle of Whiteville, NC, Max Fleischhacker of Knoxville; step-granddaughter, Alex Fleishhacker of Knoxville; and the light of his life, baby step-grandson, Hayden Merritt; nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Harold Crawford of Murphreesboro, TN. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Bob Emmert officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery with military honors by VFW Post #5266. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
