Norman Louis Sorensen

Norman Louis Sorensen, age 93 of Jefferson City, TN formerly a native of Detroit, MI, joined his Heavenly family on March 3, 2025. He enjoyed model airplanes, boats, trains, fishing, and playing golf. He was a very active member and sang in the choir at his home church, Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livonia, MI. He served in the US Navy and went on active duty on March 15, 1951 and was honorably discharged on March 11, 1955. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Sorensen, parents, Hans and Lelah Sorensen, brother, Allen Sorensen, and sister, Marion Sorensen Friend. He is survived by his son, Norman D. (Suzanne) Sorensen, daughter, Christine (Geoffrey) Rolik, grandchildren, Darci (Jason) Shaw, Mandi (Joshua) Walters, Amanda (Joseph) Fitterer, and Scott (Jordan) Rolik, 8 great-grandchildren, Zac, Henry, Ethan, Myla, Joseph “JJ”, Peyton, Chloe, and Micah, sister, Linda (John) Stone, nephews, Paul (Caryn) Archer, and Tom (Dawn) Friend, nieces, Carol (Manuel) Resto, and Linda (Ed) Saenz, and several other family members. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in his honor to a charity of choice.
