Norman R. Lane

NORMAN R. LANE, age 80 of Dandridge, TN passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday evening, December 12, 2020. Norman was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Department following 30 plus years in law enforcement. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors, playing golf and being with family and friends sharing his wit and sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jean Hill Lane; children, Norma Deary, Patricia (Mark) Jones and Stacy (Russ) Arrigo; grandchildren, Brandy Snowden, Taylor Kimbrough, Amber Walker and Shasta Jarnigan; great grandchildren, Kaelan Hunt, Jayden Webb, Presley Case, Everleigh Snowden, Drake Walker and Liam Walker, best friend, Jay Beaver and several nieces, nephews and other family members. The family wishes express a special thank you to Marsha Weems and all the people that helped care for him. Graveside funeral service with military honors will be held, Wednesday, December 16, 2020, 2:00pm at Hills Union Cemetery with Rev. Mike Hensley, Rev. Troy Duncan and Russ Arrigo officiating. The body will lie in state on Tuesday from 12:00 to 5:00pm at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE.
