She was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Hancock County. Preceded in death by husband, Burkett Stapleton; sister, Elsie, and brother, Jim. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jane Stapleton; daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Bill Jarnigan; grandchildren, Scott and Karen Stapleton, Steve and Ingrid Stapleton, David Jarnigan; great grandchildren, Chris Stapleton, Judd Stapleton, Savannah Stapleton, Sasha Stapleton, Abigail Jarnigan and C. J. Looser; special friends, Joyce Jackson and Greta Smith. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2006 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Lonnie Knight and Reverend Garrett Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
