Broadway Blvd. Jefferson City, TN 37760 Phone (865) 475-3892 Fax (865) 475-9916 OBITUARY: NINA LOVE BETTIS, age 83 of New Market, TN, peacefully passed away Thursday evening, September 8, 2005 at home in the presence of her family, after an extended illness. She was a life long resident of Jefferson County, member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, and widow of World War II veteran, Curtis E. Bettis, who preceded her in death in 1993. They lived for 50 years on the Bettis family farm on Highway 92 and her greatest joys included farming, cooking and time with her family. She was a leader in the Oakland Home Demonstration Club and the Oakland Community Center, and she retired from the Federal Land Bank in 1985. The youngest of nine children of the late Callie and Marshall Love, she is survived by her sister, Boodie Garrett of Oak Ridge; daughters, Linda McGoldrick and husband, George, and Jill Newman and husband, Ralph Newman, Jr.; grandchildren, Ed Newman, Susan Huntsinger, Justin McGoldrick, Will Newman and Sara Jane McGoldrick; their spouses, Maria Newman, Russell Huntsinger, Carment McGoldrick and Farrah Newman; great-grandchildren, Julia and Jack Newman, Harrison and Hudson Newman, and John-Willis and Emmitt Newman; nephews, Jack Love and Mark Garrett, and other nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to Vivian Leonard, JoAnn Morgan, Stephanie Hutchison, Doris McKenzie, Margaret Jones, Shirley Turner and Junior Carroll for their loving support and care. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Family and friends will gather Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service with Dr. Gene Wilder officiating.
