Naomi Anderson Greene

NAOMI ANDERSON GREENE, age 94, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at home on September 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband Arthur, her son Steve, and many other loved ones. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City and the Agape Sunday School class for many years, and a volunteer at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She loved being in her yard, tending her flowers, and working in her garden. Her family was very important to her and was loved by all. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Greene, Jr.; son, Stephen A. Greene; parents, William C. and Katherine Cluck Anderson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jessie and D. H. (Pete) Newman, Ada Rue and William (Bill) Byrd, and Billie Anderson Cross. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Greene (Bill) Newman; daughter-in-law, Kristy Zirkle Greene; grandsons, Jordan Tyler Greene, Justin Carter (Sarah) Greene and Andrew Benjamin (Shelley) Newman; great-granddaughters, Karter Nicole Greene and Klinton Claire Greene; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Linda Lowe and Brenda Lowe; and many other special friends. Graveside interment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with her three grandsons officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s East Tennessee Office, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.
