NANCY L. PECK, age 97, of Jefferson City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson City since 1924, the year she came as a student to Carson Newman College from her home in Greene County, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Peck; parents, Catherine J. Livingstone and Nathaniel T. Livingstone; four brothers and six sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Mary J. Peoples, with whom she had made her home for the past fourteen years in Jefferson City; son, James H. Peck and wife, Linnea of Knoxville; daughter, Bette H. Brasher and husband, Jack of Farragut; daughter, Amy L. Torgerson and husband, Ray of Portland, Oregon; son, Edwin A. Peck and wife, Joan of Knoxville; grandchildren, Amy Huber, Angie Link, Henry Â?HankÂ? Peck, Julie Peck, Caroline Peck, and Gilbert Â?BoÂ? Peck of Knoxville; John Peck of Greeneville, Bill Huber of Nashville, Jeanie Barrineau of Greenwood, SC, and Lydia Elliott of Powhatan, Virginia; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Livingstone of Cleveland, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2003 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Gene Wilder officiating. . Graveside interment services will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.prior to the service at the church.. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Carson Newman College, 1646 Russell Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
