Nancy Jo Love

Nancy Jo Dennis Love, age 90, of Jefferson City, TN passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024 in her most recent home, Charter Senior Living. She grew up living in Fountain City Knoxville, TN where she attended Smithwood Baptist Church. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City where she served many roles and was a member of the Agape Women’s Sunday School Class. She followed her passion of teaching, specifically English, while working for several years with the Jefferson County school system. She loved to spend her time reading, learning, and playing Bridge with her lifelong friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved to attend her daughter’s sporting events, such as the Knoxville Middle School Tennis League, Jefferson Elementary Basketball team and Jefferson County High School basketball and Tennis Teams, and Carson- Newman tennis teams. Nancy is preceded by her husband, Jack Love; parents, Carey and Flora Lee Dennis; and sister-in-law, Jean Love Chiles. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jean Love; nephew, Kendall Chiles; brother-in-law, Marion Chiles; and cousin, Janet Graham Stanley. A 2:00 p.m. graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Dr. Major Treadway officiating.
