Nancy C. "Kitty" Matthews Franklin

NANCY C. “KITTY” MATTHEWS FRANKLIN, age 73, of Newport, TN was called home to glory Thursday morning, April 7, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Trula Matthews, and was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. She was a former employee of LeSportsac Mfg. of Dandridge. Kitty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband, George Howard “Mouse” Franklin; children, Royce Walker, Timmy Walker, Sandy Mellinger, Jason Walker and Curtis Fettes; grandchildren, Ashley, Robert, Peyton, Taylor and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Avery; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Matthews officiating. Interment graveside services will be held Sunday, 2:00pm at Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
