MYRNA MCDANIEL, age 78, of Morristown, TN passed away after a brief illness on September 10, 2024 and is now at rest with the Lord. She was employed in administration at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital for 31 years until the end of her career. She was a member of Talbott-Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Myrna loved camping, reading, and Nascar racing. She was an excellent cook and well known for her homemade noodles and butterscotch pies. Preceded in death by her husband, Bobby McDaniel; step-son, Bobby “Tate” McDaniel Jr., parents, Clyde and Frances Carnes; half-brothers, Edgar Carnes (Mildred), and Joe Carnes of Indiana. She is survived by her cousins, Nila Lamb, James Lamb and Susan Rollins (Billy); step-son, Brad McDaniel, granddaughter, Megan Beasley (Benjamin); several nieces and nephews in Indiana; and her lifelong best friend, Ann Wheeler and her beloved family. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Terry Sanders and Rev. Richard Snowden officiating. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
