She was the former owner and operator of the Thrifty 5 & 10 Store in Jefferson City for 25 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, TN. Preceded in death by husband, Louis Moncier and son, Larry Moncier. She is survived by daughter, Donnie Winnett of Arlington, TX; daughter-in-law, Joyce Moncier of Oliver Springs, TN; grandchildren, Brian Winnett of Arlington, TX, Michael Winnett and his wife, Kristy, of Arlington, TX, David Moncier and his wife, Vickie, of Oliver Springs, TN, Cindy Plunk and her husband, David, of Knoxville, TN; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Jere Viz of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jim Dampier officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.
