Minnie Horner Witt

MINNIE HORNER WITT, age 100, of Knoxville, TN and formerly of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away at 4:25 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at St. Mary?s Medical following a brief illness. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Strawberry Plains. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Doc) Witt; and son, Ronald F. Witt. Survived by daughter, Betty Harkleroad of Michigan; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Robert Foland of Knoxville, TN; daughter-in-law, Barbara Witt of Mascot, TN; son and daughter-in-law, David and Becky Witt of Hendersonville, TN; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Long of Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2008 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Stephen Witt officiating. Interment to follow the service in Strawberry Plains Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
