MILDRED EVELYN WILSON, age 81, of New Market, TN, formerly of Kodak, passed away at home on December 27, 2011. She was born December 15, 1930 in Sevier County to the late Ottis and Amy Styles. Mildred devoted her life to Christ, her family and caring for others. She was a member of McCampbell?s Chapel United Methodist Church in New Market and enjoyed the gifts of quilting and gardening. Mildred is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clarence Wilson. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Monte and Kim Wilson, also of New Market; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Scott Elkins of Knoxville, TN, and Stephanie and Robert Pettit of Harrisonburg, VA; sister, Jessie Selvidge and husband, Charles Selvidge of Lenoir City, TN; brothers, Doyle (Hilford) Styles of Lenoir City, and Hoyle Styles and wife, Drue Styles of Virginia; granddaughters, Bethany Hatmaker, Sarah Hatmaker and Courtney Pettit; grandsons, Jason D. Mills, Joshua D. Smith and Nathan Pettit; great-granddaughter, Kendall Mills; several nieces and nephews and a very special aunt, Mary Ruth Hamilton. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lynn Billigton. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with Rev. Sherri Franklin officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Friday morning at Pollard Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to McCampbell?s Chapel UMC Food Pantry, c/o Veronica McMillen, 1993 Bays Mountain Road, New Market, TN 37820.
