MILDRED RUTH ?SIS? HATMAKER ROBESON, age 78, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at her home. She and her twin, Millard Ray, were born in Campbell County on March 21, 1932 to Charles L. and Beulah Mae Prater Hatmaker. Ruth and her husband were retired prominent dairy farmers of Jefferson County for over 40 years. She loved working with the cattle, caring for her many pets over the years and growing beautiful flowers. She was a dedicated recycler before recycling became popular, was a Girl Scout leader in Jefferson City for several years, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City. She was a proud and loving mother and grandmother to her grandson, the light of her life, and will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Elmer, Charles Jr., J. D., Millard Ray ?Bud? and Frank Hatmaker. Survived by husband of 58 years, Tom G. Robeson; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Craig Grantham and grandson, Thomas Craig ?T.C.? Grantham, all of Jefferson City; and step-grandsons, Benjamin and Kevin Grantham of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Ann Loudermilk of Jefferson City and Zola ?Toots? McKee of Lexington, KY; close niece, Betty Hatmaker Williams of Huntington Beach, CA; several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. The receiving of friends will be Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Service of Remembrance will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. James Dampier officiating. Graveside interment service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Jefferson, First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, or a charity of your choice.
