Mildred A. Childers Goff

MILDRED A CHILDERS GOFF, age 89, of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday evening, January 19, 2010. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who has worked hard and was blessed with a long life. Following her graduation from college, she volunteered for the war effort during World War II and went on to teach elementary education for the Pikeville, KY school district until she retired. Preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Goff. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Judy Goff of Dandridge; grandchildren, Alicia Goff (Dusty) Burch of Dandridge, Ray (Melissa) Goff of Pikeville, KY, and Cathy (Matt) Falls of Elkhorn, KY; four great-grandchildren; brothers, J. C. Childers of IL and Junior Childers of Kingsport, TN. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2013 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Robbie Drinnon officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
