Mildred Lindsey Blackwell

MILDRED LINDSEY BLACKWELL, age 66, of Dandridge, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2008 after a battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosen and Bertha Haynes Lindsey Spurling; brother, Gene Lindsey. Survived by loving and devoted husband, Willard Blackwell; loving daughter, Mary (David) Guy; grandchildren, Michael Harbin, Tonya Ballard, Tasha Cole and Justin Guy; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Skye and Jacob; loving sister, Shirley (Bob) Hobbs; brothers, Clifford Lindsey, Kenny and Danny Spurling; step-daughters, Susan (Stacy) Williams and Sherry Sweeten; step-son, Steve (Jenny) Blackwell; step-grandchildren, Austin and Dylan williams; special sisters-in-law, Jo (John) Blanchard and Gwen Haney; special niece and nephews, Teresa and Cody Bennett and Lee Donley and several other nieces and nephews, cousins and her special friends at Unity Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the memorial donations may be made to the Mildred Blackwell Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 1025, Dandridge, TN 37725 for funeral expenses. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Glenn Rines and Greg Shelton officiating. Interment graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Deep Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
