Mickey R Smith

Mickey Robert Smith, 79, of White Pine passed away on July 22, 2023.  Mickey was born on September 13, 1943, in Greene County. 

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Smith and his daughters, Lisa Vanover and Amie Snapp.  His granddaughter, Hailee (Jeff) and great granddaughters, Addi Grace and Kennedi Campbell.  His brother, Nickey Smith and special aunt, Doris Holt.  Plus, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Mickey was a Navy veteran who retired from the State of Tennessee.  He spent most of his working career in some type of law enforcement.  He will be remembered for his support of the local police department and the friendships he shared with them.   Mickey was a member of Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church.  He had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor.  He shared his faith and love with those around him.  If you were lucky enough to stop by and watch a western with him, you might catch a glimpse of his watch and knife collection. Mickey made an impact on many lives and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 5:00pm in Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church, family will receive friends between the hours of 3:00pm and 5:00pm prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to White Pine Police Department, P.O. Box 66, White Pine, TN 37890 and Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church, 874 Leadvale Church Road, White Pine, TN 37890
