Micheal A. Smelcer

MICHEAL A. (MIKE) SMELCER, SR., age 59, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Sunday afternoon, October 27, 2013 at his home. He was an employee of Cumberland Plastics in Smyrna, TN and was a former member of the Air Force National Guard. He will be remembered as a man who was passionately devoted to his family; always making sure his loved ones had what they needed. He was a true kid at heart who loved to play video games, fish, play golf and spend quality time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Wendell Jason Smelcer; father, George W. Smelcer, Sr. and brother, George W. Smelcer, Jr. Survived by his children, Michael Adam Smelcer, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN and Linda Michelle (Bryan) Corter of LaVergne, TN; four grandchildren, mother, Billie Smelcer of Dandridge, TN and six brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts for funeral expenses may be made to Farrar Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1025, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Sherry Franklin officiating. Interment to follow at Hills Union Cemetery.
