Michael David Murphy

Michael David Murphy, known affectionately by many as "Big Mike," died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 after coming in contact with a high-voltage electric line. Originally from Dandridge, TN, Michael worked all over the country as a journeyman lineman and was in Florida when he died. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Brenda Murphy and an infant son, who all welcomed him into Heaven! He is survived by his sisters Amy Murphy, Carri Murphy, and his twin sister Melissa Armour (Randy), and nieces Kaitlyn, McKala, Brenynn, and Addison and Audrey, nephew Thomas, and special friends Stephanie Allison and Morlynn. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City with a Eulogy and Story Sharing. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Deep Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
