Michael Manting

Michael Manting, age 57 of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Preceded in death by father, George Manting, Jr. He was en employee of Rural Medical in Newport and was past assistant Scout Master in Brooksville, FL. A kind generous soul who worked hard and had a special way with children. He was a very loving husband, father, and papa to wife, Hettie Manting; daughter Nicole Manting and grandson, Joseph Manting; mother, Arlene Manting; sisters Michele Manting and Meleanie Rhodes and husband Jim; brother, Mitchel Manting and wife Sharon, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Knisley officiating. The family will receive friends 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Hopewell Presbyterian Church P.O. Box 812, Dandridge, TN 37725, or the charity of your choice.
