Merle R. Wilson

MERLE R. WILSON, age 74, of New Market, TN passed away suddenly, Saturday, May 31, 2008. He was a member of the Smokey Mountain Cowboy Church and was a truck driver for First Fleet Trucking Co. of Chestnut Hill, TN. Merle was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association Club G2. He was a friend to all that he had chance to meet and was proud to say that "I have never met a stranger" and believed that "everyone should share laughter together." He is survived by his wife, Veronica (Kate) Wilson; children, Rhonda (Tom) Bartlett of Newark, NY, Holly (Brian) McDaniels of Palmyra, NY, Merle Richard Wilson II of Minneapolis, MN, Randall Wilson of San Diego, CA; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; sister, Gene Hyland of Waxhaw, NC and was preceded in death by his brothers, Donny and Millard Wilson. "No one can replace your smile and the world smiled back. Your smile gave me the morning; your love kept me each night." - Kate.
