Melvin J. Conner,

MELVIN J. CONNER, SR., age 74, of White Pine, TN, formerly of Cleveland, OH, passed away Saturday evening, October 11, 2003. Son of the late Howard and Edith Conner and was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Conner. He was a member of the White pine First United Methodist Church, veteran of World War II and and U. S. Army, a 32nd degree mason and was retired from Teamsters Local 407 of Cleveland, OH and Murphy Motor Freight Co. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edith Evans Conner; children, Sharon (Bill) Martin, Melvena (Carter) Rapp, Melvin (Kathy) Conner, Jr., Dinna (Jim) Lukasiewicz, Tina Lawson, Nina (Jay) Darby, Vickie (Kenny) Cronin and Nikki (Shann) Brogdon; numerous grand children and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark McKnight and Rev. Eddie Noe officiating. Interment to follow in White Pine Cemetery.
